All Nippon Airways, commonly known as ANA, is a Japanese airline that was founded in 1952. It began operations with just two helicopters, but quickly expanded its fleet to include jet aircraft as it grew in popularity and demand.
In the 1960s and 1970s, ANA began offering international flights to destinations in Asia, Europe, and North America. It also became the first airline in Japan to offer regular flights to Okinawa, a popular tourist destination.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, ANA continued to grow and expand, adding new routes and modernizing its fleet. In 1999, it formed a partnership with United Airlines, allowing both airlines to share routes and offer customers more travel options.
In the early 2000s, ANA faced some financial difficulties due to the economic downturn in Japan. However, it managed to recover and continue expanding its operations. It became a member of the Star Alliance in 1999, further strengthening its global reach and network.
Today, ANA is one of the largest airlines in Asia, with a fleet of over 250 aircraft and more than 80 international and domestic destinations. It is known for its high levels of customer service and safety, and has won numerous awards and accolades over the years.
