Amadeus Nepal Announces New Entry for Exempting NQ Tax

Kathmandu, August 20, 2024 — Amadeus Nepal has announced a new process for exempting the NQ tax for Nepalese nationals. This update introduces a new entry method for booking agents to ensure Nepalese passengers are correctly exempted from the NQ tax.

Starting from August 20, 2024, booking agents should use the following entries:
FXP/RNTL or added in the pax name (Example: TEST/TEST(NTL) for National Pax). Then, the system will be able to match the sequence to exempt NQ tax.
  • For Adult Passengers: Enter FXP/RNTL
  • For Child Passengers: Enter FXP/RNTL-CH
  • For Infant Passengers: Enter FXP/RINF
These new entries will automatically identify Nepalese nationals and exempt them from the NQ tax during the booking process. This change aims to simplify and streamline the process for both agents and passengers.
