New PNR element for Method of Payment (MEP)
We wish to present to you the new PNR element for Method of Payment (MEP). In the current system, when an itinerary is modified, the Form of Payment element (FP) in the Passenger Name Record (PNR) is automatically deleted. At the time of reissuance user needs to ask again the Credit Card information to the customer in order to process the exchange.
In order to simplify work flow, Amadeus has created a new PNR element: Method of Payment (MEP).
MEP element is created automatically when the credit card form of payment (either copied from a customer profile or entered manually using FP) is passed into the PNR.
The MEP keeps traveler’s Credit Card information in the PNR, in a secure way, in order to reuse data without asking from passenger.
Key features
- MEP automatic creation at Credit Card Form of Payment
- MEP display in the PNR with Credit Card Security
- MEP display in PNR history
- MEP deletion is allowed
- MEP update is allowed
- Form of Payment creation from MEP
